Bend, Oregon real estate company’s free 2015 calendar features scenic mountain view by local photographer Mike Houska

Brooks Resources Corporation’s annual wall calendar has graced the walls of Central Oregon businesses and homes for nearly three decades. Featuring beautiful scenes from our region, this year is no different. For 2015, the horizontal format calendar features an expansive, panoramic view of Mt Jefferson and Black Butte – two iconic landmarks in Central Oregon. Mike Houska of Dogleg Studios took the photo from The Tree Farm property in west Bend.

Calendars will be available beginning today at the Brooks Resources corporate office in downtown Bend, Oregon at 409 NW Franklin in downtown Bend. As always, the calendars are free to public and can be picked up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all business days. Mount Bachelor Village Resort and the North Rim Lodge will also have calendars available for pick up.

Thousands of the calendars will start being distributed this week to local businesses by non-profit group Abilitree in exchange for a donation from Brooks Resources. Abilitree empowers people with disabilities to grow their independence, productivity and inclusion in community life by providing them with resources and employment.

The Tree Farm property, from which the image was taken, is located on 500-acres west of Bend, in Deschutes County. The land, long owned by the Miller Family, is currently in the process of approval for a new community which will be developed by a partnership of local companies called The Tree Farm LLC. The vision for the property is a cluster development of approximately 50 homesites, with the majority of the property left as permanent, accessible open space.
